Cheryl Bowman (AKA Chef Che) grew up in New Orleans where she was surrounded by food. After serving in Desert Shield, she moved to the Midwest to start a family. To bring a taste of her hometown to Chicagoland, Cheryl opened N’awlins Edibles. During the entertaining class, you’ll learn how to make authentic Cajun and Creole cuisine at home. 

Edible Passport 

Edible Passport is where your next culinary journey begins. Executive Chef Jen Gavin started her career as an ice, fruit, and vegetable carver. She graduated from the Kendall College School of Culinary Arts and worked at Chicago’s finest restaurants. Today, Jen operates Edible Passport, which was inspired by her extensive worldwide travels. Both beginning and seasoned cooks can join in the fun. Students learn knife skills, sauteing techniques, and much more. 

Taste Buds Kitchen

What began as a few holiday baking classes soon became something more. Taste Buds Kitchen is nut-free, and it has inspired nearly 14,000 adults and trained 63,000 chefs. The instructors make the lessons fun, and everything is made from scratch with the finest ingredients. The kitchen is state-of-the-art, and students make three to four recipes per class. Sessions include Chinese Takeout, Handmade Pasta Twist, and Mexican Fiesta. Adults can bring their own beer, and all skill levels are welcome.
